cravens house

Cool little side adventure with a little walking trail to sunset rock. The site is very well-maintained and it’s very easy to park and view the surrounding areas. I would suggest going up and camera because the views of Chattanooga are breathtaking. Be careful of the roads that Google might bring you up because they are very narrow and some parts and can be difficult to navigate with a large vehicle.

Step back in time and uncover the history of the Civil War at Cravens House in Chattanooga. Perched atop Lookout Mountain, this historic site offers a glimpse into the past and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Explore the meticulously preserved house, which served as a Union headquarters during the Battle of Lookout Mountain. Gain insight into the struggles and triumphs of soldiers and civilians during this tumultuous period of American history. As you wander the grounds, breathe in the serene atmosphere and imagine the stories that unfolded on this hallowed ground. Cravens House is a testament to resilience, a place where history comes alive and where visitors can pay homage to the past.
