Roasted Root Coffee Company is expanding with three locations set to serve breakfast by Summer 2025. Our locations at Cummings Highway, Riverview Inn , and Lookout Mountain Inn will provide high-quality breakfast offerings to our guests, ensuring a welcoming and delicious start to their day. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in crafting fresh, high-quality breakfast dishes while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Breakfast Cook & Customer Service Associate to prepare and serve breakfast menu items in a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about food quality, and thrives in a team-focused environment. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, portion control, and food safety while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, meats, and side dishes.
• Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and with high standards for presentation and quality.
• Monitor food inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean and organized cooking area with proper storage and food safety practices.
• Follow health and sanitation regulations to uphold food safety standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, suggesting improvements or new items.
• May be responsible for training and supervising junior kitchen staff or interns.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a breakfast cook or in a similar food service role.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Food handler’s certification may be required.
