Barista Position Overview

A Roasted Root Barista is more than just a coffee maker; they are an artisan in the craft of coffee and a key player in delivering exceptional customer service. Whether it’s a double espresso or a vanilla latte, we believe that every cup should be made with precision and care. If you have a love for coffee, attention to detail, and a knack for making people feel welcome, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and iced drinks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area.
• Engage with customers by taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and efficient work environment.
• Stay informed about coffee origins, brewing methods, and current beverage trends.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to refine skills and enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Passion for coffee, tea, and the customer experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality beverages.
