Our "remote" urban campus is a mere 5 minutes from the heart of downtown Chattanooga's major attractions, yet it feels like a world apart. Tucked away at the foot of Lookout Mountain, our accommodations are surrounded by Federal parkland and hiking trails, creating a remarkable sense of seclusion and immersive connection with the great outdoors. Situated amidst our wooded grounds, you'll discover a range of amenities that encourage people to connect to both each other and nature.

Fire pits
Communal fire pits have been strategically placed throughout our wooded campus although many of our accommodations offer private fire pits. These shared fire pits are more than just functional features at Wauhatchie Woodlands; they are central to the overall experience. They serve as a communal space where guests can come together to bond, share stories, and forge meaningful connections with both nature and fellow travelers.
There are two large community fire pits and one fireplace pavilion on our main campus. The two community fire pits feature a pavilion and a dining table. The fireplace pavilion offers two sofas on a cobblestone patio with a large pavilion perfect for group gatherings. A third fire pit, reserved for guests who have booked one of our three large homes, is located next to the private pool.

Situated in the heart of our property, you'll discover a charming goldfish pond encircled by a stone patio. Here, an array of dining tables with sparkling cafe lights overhead is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal in the open air while relaxing to the sounds of nature.
As you venture towards our pond, you'll be greeted by the soothing sound of trickling water, and the vibrant colors of our resident goldfish. Whether you're sharing a romantic dinner under the stars or enjoying a hearty brunch with friends, we hope the atmosphere sets the stage for unforgettable memory making moments.

On-site trails wind through our grounds, creating the perfect opportunity for you and your pup to explore the great outdoors together.
For your convenience, we've placed doggy poo bags strategically around the property to ensure a clean and enjoyable environment for everyone. Please note that, for the safety of all guests, we kindly request that dogs remain leashed when outside. This ensures that both two-legged and four-legged visitors can enjoy their time at our rustic retreat.

Wauhatchie Woodlands is located off of Cummings Highway, approximately 5 miles from Downtown Chattanooga. Because of the traffic patterns of Cummings Highway, we recommend approaching Wauhatchie Woodlands from the east via Broad Street. This will allow you to make a right turn directly into the property.
