About Roasted Root

Roasted Root Coffee Company is bringing Chattanooga’s first and only all-natural, fine Italian-style gelato to Lookout Valley and Lookout Mountain at Riverview Inn. But we’re not stopping at gelato! Our café will also offer crepes, paninis, French tarts, and other classic baked goods, creating a truly unique culinary experience. Serving gelato is an art, requiring precision, technique, and a passion for quality ingredients. We are looking for team members who are excited about learning the craft of gelato service while also contributing to the full café experience.

Position Overview

As a Gelato & Café Attendant, you will specialize in serving gelato while also assisting with crepes, paninis, tarts, and general café operations. This role is perfect for those who enjoy customer service, food preparation, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude, taking their orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Serve gelato with precision, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
• Prepare and serve food items such as crepes, paninis, and baked goods according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Assist with stocking and inventory management of food and beverage items.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
• Ensure proper storage and temperature control of gelato and other perishable items.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends.
