Moccasin Bend Cottage (Unit 6)

Welcoming guests since 1933 and nestled among 100-year-old pines and a lush garden atop Georgia's beloved Lookout Mountain is the newly remodeled Lookout Mountain Inn. Our design team reimagined the modern bed and breakfast to offer everything you would want for a romantic stay or a family getaway, while retaining the warmth and coziness of days gone by.  Upon arriving on the grounds, your blood pressure will plummet as you soak in the mountain air, stroll the beautifully landscaped grounds and enjoy to the sounds of our local birds and other wildlife.  All this, while being minutes away from Rock City, Ruby Falls, Point Park or a short 15 minute scenic drive away from Chattanooga!  Wherever your adventures take you, our staff starts you off with a hearty family style breakfast every morning in the Main House Gathering Room.  If you still have some time to spare, take a dip in your private hot tub, the community pool or hot tub, fire up the grill or enjoy the stars while kicking back at our fire pit.  

Inside your Moccasin Bend Cottage,  you will find a cozy and romantic private bedroom and bath, complete with a king size bed and plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy a lazy morning in bed.  The cottage also boasts a charming sitting area with two trundle beds, a separate bathroom and a well appointed kitchenette.  This cottage has a moody vibe with earth tones that reflect the colors you'll find across your mountain adventures! 

Rental Agreement

Cancellations
Your reservation may be canceled with a full refund up to 7 days prior to arrival. No-shows and cancellations within 7 days of your check-in date will be billed the entire reservation total. 

Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed in this unit.  Please filter your search to identify one of our many pet friendly alternatives.  If there is evidence of non-compliance with this policy, a $150 penalty fee will apply.

No Smoking
Smoking, vaping, and the use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted inside of any Timberroot property or in community spaces.  Evidence of smoking/vaping or smoke/vapor damage or odor inside the property or cigarette damage/debris on the exterior of the property during your stay will result in a minimum $150 fine.

Smoking is permitted outside or on uncovered decks. Please ensure that windows and doors are closed so that the smoke/vapor does not enter the building.  Cigarette butts should be fully extinguished and disposed of properly in exterior trash receptacles. 

No Parties or Events
This rental may only be used for overnight lodging accommodations and may not be used for parties, conferences or events, unless specifically permitted by Timberroot management. Only Guests associated with the reservation are allowed on premises at any time. Failure to abide by this policy may result in additional fines and/or eviction from the property.

Media/Event Use Restriction
Timberroot accommodations may not be used or reproduced for, or as part of, any online listing, photographic production, television production, movie/film production, wedding event, party, or in any other way in which our property becomes a setting for amateur or professional use of producing, staging, or otherwise, without Timberroot’s express written consent.


Fireplaces, Fire pits, and Grills
Fire pits, fireplaces, grills and other combustibles at their own risk. All grills, fire pits, and fires should be kept contained. Guests are responsible for ensuring that all fires are completely extinguished after use.  Use of fire pits may be impacted by local burn bans.


Pool, Spa, & Hot Tub
Pools, spas, and hot tubs are used at your own risk. Children and any adults requiring supervision must be supervised by a responsible and able-bodied adult at all times. Guests should ensure that the spa is covered when not in use. Complete Hot tub, Pool, and Spa rules are posted at each facility. Guests are responsible for abiding by all posted rules and regulations.

Guest access
You'll have your entire cottage to yourself.
Your cottage on The Lookout Mountain Inn & Suites property, a 2-acre property in the heart of Lookout Mountain. In addition to your cottage, you'll have access to the common grounds, as well as shared pavilions, community fire pit, hot tub and swimming pool (seasonal). Please be respectful of other guests during your stay.

Pests
We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out.
However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you do encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so that our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.
By booking with us, you accept that encountering insects and woodland creatures is a possibility and that no refunds will be issued for such instances.
