Yes- we offer complimentary high speed wifi to all our guests. Simply navigate to your network settings, find "Gardenwalk Guest" and click it. You will be prompted to connect in a pop up browser. Once you've connected, you are all set!
We would love to host you and your furry friend! There are only two cottages that are not pet-friendly so as to accommodate our allergen friends, the Moccasin Bend Cottage and the Cloudland Cottage. The rest are open to all four legged friends!
We offer in-room complimentary coffee to all our guests. The cottages each have a chemex drip coffee carafe while the rooms and apartments have a drip coffee machine. Grounds for coffee are each located by the coffee makers.
Each unit that comes with a hot tub does have the tub to themselves for their personal use. These units are as follows: Lookout Mountain Cottage, Desoto Cottage, Rock Island Cottage, Moccasin Bend Cottage, Etowah Apartment, Glenn Falls Room, and Amicalola Apartment. All other units are welcome to use the shared hot tub facilities in front of the dining room behind the seasonal pool.
No- the pool is only open seasonally. The typical open months are May - October, but individual days can vary. Keep an eye out on our website, email list, and socials for hard opening days!
No, we invite guests to dine with us in the dining room where a full buffet will be served with hot foods, a yoghurt bar, fruit bar, and more. There are vegan and gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. Breakfast is served from 8:00 - 10:00am.
Parking is available by each unit. The cottages will have parking to the right of their cottage and is marked with their cottage number on a post at the end of the driveway. The rooms will also have spots near & in front of their units.
We do not offer guest laundry facilities at the moment, but we are working on a solution so stay tuned! There is a coin laundry machine down the mountain in St. Elmo if you are in need, Fabric Care Coin Laundry.
When the owners of what used to be Gardenwalk Inn approached us to take in this property, we knew we had been given something special. Treasured by many for decades, we carefully remodeled each cottage and room to reflect the same rustic mountain charm that everyone had come to know and love, while upgrading the amenities.
We envisioned 8 cottages, each with unique flare and accommodation styles. The upper half of the property would reflect inn-style lodging, with 7 individual rooms and 2 larger apartments. We wanted to bring the Timberroot touch in the best way we know how- firepits, hot tubs, a pool, and thoughtful, warm decor.
We kept some of the indoor jacuzzi tubs in certain cottages, while outfitting others with back porch hot tubs. We revamped the community amenities by building a stone firepit, giving the pool a face lift, and redecorating the dining room to reflect our innkeepers signature welcoming touch.
We are now proud to welcome you to the new Lookout Mountain Inn, with all the same charm as years past, now fitted with inviting touches and modern amenities.
