May House | Massive Vacation Home with Pool & Swim Spa
The kitchen is open to dining, a dining bar, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and directly adjacent to the massive stunning sunroom with vaulted ceilings. The sunroom exits to a spacious back deck with a swinging bed, outdoor dining, and direct access to the private swim spa.
On the same living level is a bathroom shared by a queen bedroom and the kid's room with a lofted queen bed and a built-in slide. The slide room sleeps two small people up top and has a single bed below. Across the hall is a beautiful queen bedroom larger than many master bedrooms and a stunning newly renovated bathroom. This large queen room has a TV, a small work desk, and seating for TV watching out of bed.
Down the hall are the two massive loft rooms. The river-facing loft room has a private deck, picture windows, separate shower and toilet rooms, a closet, and a spacious TV den. Two full/twin bunks in the loft can sleep up to six. The back loft room features two lofted full beds over a king. Also on this level are a sofa, separate shower and toilet rooms, and a closet. Upstairs is the workspace with two desks and a daybed with Smart TV.
Downstairs is the massive main suite with a luxurious king bed, modern armoires, a wood-burning stove, and the media area with a large sectional sofa and a 65″ curved TV. The main suite has a large bathroom with two vanities, a walk-in shower, a deep bathing tub, and a small cedar sauna. The fully loaded game room is also on the lower living level with a full-size pool table, ping pon top, foosball, air hockey, Smart TV, and a comfy sofa. The space also included a small fridge and freezer to keep your drinks cold while you play. The laundry room with your private washer/dryer is just off the game room.
The May Family Home shares a roundabout driveway with two other Wauhatchie Woodlands homes, the Blue House and the Skyuka Chalet. However, guests will have two dedicated parking spots. The homes share a heated resort-style pool with an expansive flagstone patio. You'll find lounge seating, an outdoor fireplace, and an outdoor kitchen with a covered dining pavilion on the patio. The ground floor of the Chalet serves as the poolhouse for all three Wauhatchie Woodland homes. Guests can access a shared washer and dryer, a workout room, poolside showers, and toilets.

cancellations
Your reservation may be canceled with a full refund up to 7 days prior to arrival. No-shows and cancellations within 7 days of your check-in date will be billed the entire reservation total.

Pets are not allowed in this unit. Please filter your search to identify one of our many pet friendly alternatives. If there is evidence of non-compliance with this policy, a $150 penalty fee will apply.
no smoking
Smoking, vaping, and the use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted inside of any Timberroot property or in community spaces. Evidence of smoking/vaping or smoke/vapor damage or odor inside the property or cigarette damage/debris on the exterior of the property during your stay will result in a minimum $150 fine.
Smoking is permitted outside or on uncovered decks. Please ensure that windows and doors are closed so that the smoke/vapor does not enter the building. Cigarette butts should be fully extinguished and disposed of properly in exterior trash receptacles.
no parties or events
This rental may only be used for overnight lodging accommodations and may not be used for parties, conferences or events, unless specifically permitted by Timberroot management. Only Guests associated with the reservation are allowed on premises at any time. Failure to abide by this policy may result in additional fines and/or eviction from the property.
media/event use restriction
Timberroot accommodations may not be used or reproduced for, or as part of, any online listing, photographic production, television production, movie/film production, wedding event, party, or in any other way in which our property becomes a setting for amateur or professional use of producing, staging, or otherwise, without Timberroot’s express written consent.
fireplaces, fire pits, and grills
Fire pits, fireplaces, grills and other combustibles at their own risk. All grills, fire pits, and fires should be kept contained. Guests are responsible for ensuring that all fires are completely extinguished after use. Use of fire pits may be impacted by local burn bans.
pool, spa, & hot tub
Pools, spas, and hot tubs are used at your own risk. Children and any adults requiring supervision must be supervised by a responsible and able-bodied adult at all times. Guests should ensure that the spa is covered when not in use. Complete Hot tub, Pool, and Spa rules are posted at each facility. Guests are responsible for abiding by all posted rules and regulations.

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

Your cabin is located within Wauhatchie Woodlands, a 14-acre property surrounded by National Forest. In addition to your cabin, you'll have access to trails throughout the grounds, as well as shared pavilions, community fire pits, and playground. Please be respectful of other guests during your stay.
pests
We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out.
However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you do encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so that our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.
